Exclusive X-Jet Maquette made by the production for promotion of the 2014 Bryan Singer superhero film X-Men: Days of Future Past. Convinced that mutants pose a threat to humanity, Dr. Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) develops the Sentinels, enormous robotic weapons that can detect a mutant gene and zero in on that person. In the 21st century, the Sentinels have evolved into highly efficient killing machines. With mutants now facing extinction, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) volunteers to go back in time and rally the X-Men of the past to help change a pivotal moment in history and thereby save their future.
This piece was created by the studio, with only a very few created (200) for promoting the film. This piece is made of holystone and features the likeness of the future X-Jet featured in the opening sequence of the film. The jet is painted a metallic blue with hues of light blue and white and a hexagonal pattern. The model sits on top of a polystone black display base and is permanently attached. The base features a small placard reading “X-Men Days of Future Past 91/200”. This piece measures around 13″ in length and has a small chip on the back of the engine section but remains in excellent condition.
