Battlestar Galactica (2004) Soma Braid Conceptual Artwork

Description

Concept artwork of a Sagittatron “Soma” braid used in the production of the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica. When an old enemy, the Cylons, resurface and obliterate the 12 colonies, the crew of the aged Galactica protect a small civilian fleet – the last of humanity – as they journey toward the fabled 13th colony, Earth. Sagittarons believe these bracelets bring them health, and after the death of a wearer the braid is passed on tot he surviving relative. This piece can be seen in the third season episode “The Woman King”. This sketch is hand drawn in pencil on vellum paper measuring 11″ x 17″. This piece remains in excellent, production used condition.
