Aronnax (Paul Lukas) and his assistant Conseil (Peter Lorre), stranded in San Francisco by reports of a giant sea monster attacking ships in the Pacific Ocean, are invited to join an expedition to search for the creature. This page was made by the production as a backup but not used in the film. Printed on full newsprint in black ink this piece features the headline “Monster exist, says French scientist in warning to world”.
