Who is The Prop Block?
The Prop Block is a consignment style auction house specializing in entertainment memorabilia, specifically props, costumes, set decoration and production material. Most of the items that are sold here come from consignors from around the world, as well as film studios and productions. All of the items sold here are researched and reviewed before they are listed for sale to ensure that the item sold is in fact an original piece of memorabilia. The team here at The Prop Block has years of experience working with original memorabilia from film and television.
Are all items screen used?
No, not all items we list here for sale are screen used. In addition to original screen used items we on occasion list replicas for sale. If a replica is listed for sale it will be clearly marked as a replica as to not confuse the buyer. We also list production made material here on the site for sale, these are items that were made by the production for use in the film or television series but ultimately were not used on screen, and just like the replica items we list if an item is production made it will be clearly noted in the item description.
How am I assured that the item I purchase is original?
We here at The Prop Block do our due diligence on each item that comes our way to ensure that a replica is not sold as a screen used original prop. Most of the items we sell have come form other auction houses in the past, which gives us a clear lineage of the item. All items consigned that are from personal collection or that have not been offered for sale to the general public undergo a review process, in which we track down the lineage of the piece, review any paperwork or people associated with the item, and match the piece on screen. If at any time an item that is sold through us is questioned by the buyer we offer a full money back return policy if it can be proven the item is not original.
Are your items certified?
Yes, every item that is sold through The Prop Block will come with a personalized COA (Certificate of Authenticity) which states that the item is real, and can be looked up on our website at any time to find the original listing. Each COA features a corresponding number that is archived by us so that at any time, even if the item has passed hands we can review it in our system and prove it’s lineage.
How can I pay for my items?
Here at The Prop Block we accept all major credit cards, as well as Wire Transfer, Bank Checks and Cash upon pickup. We also accept PayPal (a additional 3% will be added to all PayPal purchases to cover fee’s from PayPal).
Do you purchase props from collectors?
Yes, if you have an item for sale or would even like a general estimate of what an item would be worth please contact us, as we are always accepting items on consignment, as well as direct sale.
Shipping FAQ
Every item sold at The Prop Block is hand packed to ensure that it will arrive to you on time and un-damaged! Due to the nature of the hobby items sold here can range from very small to extremely large, so we work with USPS, FEDEX as well as a third party shipper for items that need to be specially crated to ensure their delivery.
Each item we sell is always fully insured in case of accidental damage or loss so the customer will receive the full value of the item. We do combine shipping if you purchase more than one item, and everything shipped comes with a tracking number so it can be traced every step of the way.
