Jarrod

Jarrod Hunt is a native of Northern California. He moved to Los Angeles with his wife and children in 2009 and started working in the prop and costume auction industry. He has been involved in the prop & costume hobby for 15 years where he started building replicas and collecting and researching original props. Once in Los Angeles Jarrod found himself in the center of the entertainment auction world and has been involved in the business for the past 7 years.

Jarrod has a background collecting, selling and researching items from the Star Trek franchise, in which he has dealt with key cast and crew members selling their personal collections of prop memorabilia. He has worked in the past managing and directing live auctions of film memorabilia. Along with his long time friend and co-worker Dean Newbury, Jarrod decided to Open The Prop Block, a consignment style auction house and storefront in hopes to offer rare and sought after film memorabilia to fans and collectors alike.

Dean

Dean Newbury has had a lifelong interest in film and filmmaking. A Southern California native, in 2010 he was able to begin pursuing his dream of working in the film industry working on several small feature films along with numerous student films, music videos and commercials. He has also been a lifelong fan of the science fiction and fantasy, which grew into his hobby of researching and building screen-accurate props and costumes from his favorite shows and films.

In the intervening years Dean was hired by a prominent film assets auction house and has had the opportunity to apply his knowledge and skills to researching and cataloging screen-used props and costumes for auction and sales from a multitude of well known properties such as: Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, and Iron Man.

Dean met Jarrod while working at this company and they became instant friends. With the lessons learned from working within the auction industry, together they've embarked on their own venture, The Prop Block, selling screen-used props and costumes to fans.

Lee

Lee Quessenberry is a Space Redneck and loves all things Star Trek. He's been a web developer since 2008 and graphic designer since childhood. His love of Star Trek and dabbling in film production as a graphic designer put him in contact with Jarrod and Dean in 2015.

Having worked on a few fan films, a few indie productions, some shorts, and some other sci-fi projects in other forms of media, it was a natural fit for him to join the PropBlock team as the website design lead.

Lee spends his time straddling the fence between geek and redneck and has a knack for barbecue, duck hunting, digital marketing, design, development, and woodworking.

Lee's favorite characters are Dr. Leonard McCoy, Charles "Trip" Tucker III, Montgomery Scott, Deanna Troi, and Tom Paris.

His favorite movie is unapologetically, Top Gun, and he doesn't even skip the volleyball scene. He has also finally started getting through the Goose death scene without crying.

Brandon

Brandon has been battling Star Trek vs Star Wars internally for too long. It has pretty much consumed his ability to humblebrag about himself, so he asked Lee to do it.

Let's see... Brandon likes guns both real and fantasy including Han Solo's blaster, Indiana Jones' M1917 .45, Rick Deckard's LAPD 2019 Blaster, ... Wait a minute. Brandon, do you only like Harrison Ford movies?

Brandon is an aspiring web developer and has an affinity for science fiction and fantasy video games, comics, television, and movies. It didn't take a whole lot of persuasion to get him to work on this once Jarrod starting listing products.
